The Society is undertaking its bi-annual grocery hamper distribution to needy families in commemoration of beloved Pujya Swami Sahajananda. The distribution will be facilitated by all our branches and will be done during the period of Pujya Swamiji's Mahasamadhi Day on 10 December when Pujya Swamiji shed his mortal coil. Each hamper is valued at R150.00.
Sharing of our material wealth with those in need is a rare privilege granted to us by the Lord. Pujya Swami Sahajananda says, "Charity is one of the noblest of qualities. It is the gate that leads one into the kingdom of God. If we feel that all others are our own, then serving them comes naturally to us, just as we serve the members of our own family, thus charity expands the heart and leads us to the realization of God, which is the goal of this human birth."
We thank donors for their spontaneous offering in support of this undertaking and we invoke the blessings of our Divine Master, Sri Swami Sivananda and Pujya Swami Sahajananda for good health, peace, prosperity and protection. May the festive season bring joy and happiness to all and may the New Year usher in all things good and auspicious.
