Divine Life Society of South Africa has been a regular participant in the Nelson Mandela Youth Centre's Annual Careers' Fair held at the Nelson Mandela Youth Centre in Chatsworth. This year was no exception as the Society set up an information table at the fair on Saturday 11 May 2024, strategically positioned near the entrance, ensuring maximum visibility and engagement with attendees.

The careers' fair primarily attracted matric level learners, and thus, Divine Life Society of South Africa tailored its exhibited literature to cater to their interests and needs. Past copies of the Sunlit Path Magazines, a booklet entitled "The Challenges Facing Youth", and cards featuring the sayings of our Divine Master, Sri Swami Sivananda, were prominently displayed. Additionally, books suitable for children were exhibited, ensuring a diverse array of reading materials for all ages.

The literature displayed at the Society's table garnered significant interest from several attendees. Many visitors availed themselves of the literature, indicating a genuine interest in the content provided. Moreover, several learners enthusiastically signed the Sunlit Path Club Pledge, indicative of their commitment to spiritual growth and self-improvement.

Furthermore, the outreach efforts extended beyond literature distribution. Attendees were informed about the sewing classes conducted at the Sunlit Path Centre, with some women expressing interest in participating. Pamphlets detailing the various services offered at the Sivananda Sunlit Path Centre were also distributed, garnering attention and enquiries from attendees seeking further information.

A notable aspect of our participation was the dissemination of information about health advice offered at the Centre. Attendees showed interest in receiving guidance from the medical professional who offers medical advice at the Centre. This initiative underscores Divine Life Society of South Africa's holistic approach to community service, addressing not only spiritual needs but also physical well-being.

The Society's presence at the Nelson Mandela Youth Centre's Annual Careers' Fair was marked by active engagement, positive responses from attendees, and impactful outreach efforts. By tailoring its literature and services to the needs of the target audience, the Society effectively promoted its mission of spiritual enrichment, community service, and holistic well-being. Such events serve as valuable platforms for Divine Life Society of South Africa to connect with the youth, inspire personal growth, and foster a sense of community and belonging.
